Mandatory Credit: Darren Yamashita-Imagn Images Los Angeles Lakers star big man Anthony Davis exited a meeting with the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday after rolling his ankle in the first quarter.
Davis was simply walking in the lane when he tweaked his left foot down by the restricted area. He subbed out of the contest at the 4:48 mark of the first quarter, eventually went to the locker room and never took the floor in the second period.
The Lakers took a 55-52 lead into the break, getting two rebounds and a steal from Davis in seven minutes of action in the first half. Davis wasn't able to score, missing all three of his field-goal attempts.
Entering Wednesday, the 31-year-old Davis had been stuffing the stat sheet with averages of 26.6 points, 11.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.2 blocks in 28 games (all starts) this season.
